Funeral services for Sarah Evelyn Shoemaker Crosby, 96, of Graceville, Fla., will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at First Baptist Church in Malone, Fla., with the Rev. Jackie Register officiating.

Interment will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Gordon, Ala., with her sons acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Crosby was born in Gordon, Ala., on July 6, 1914, and died Jan. 12, 2011, at Signature Healthcare of North Florida in Graceville, Fla. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Malone, and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Benjamin and Bessie Conrad Shoemaker; her husband, Arthur Leroy Crosby Sr., and two brothers, Willie Shoemaker and Russell Shoemaker.

She is survived by five sons, Jackie Crosby of Gainesville, Fla., Billy Crosby of Donalsonville, Buddy Crosby of Gordon, Gene Crosby of Ashford, Ala., and David Crosby of Plant City, Fla.; two daughters, Faye Robert of Donalsonville and Brenda Wilson of Malone, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
