Graveside services for Hassie Lee Bevis, 87, of Greenwood, Fla., were held on Sunday, Dec. 12, at Lovedale Baptist Church in Lovedale, Fla., with the Rev. Jack Howell officiating.

Mrs. Bevis was born in Lovedale, Fla., on July 23, 1923, and died Dec. 9, 2010, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Lovedale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Carvarso and Dosie Hart Olive; her husband, Arthur Hubert Bevis; a son, James Arthur Bevis; a sister, Estelle D. Wallace; and a brother, Hamp Carvarso Olive.

She is survived by two grandchildren, James Lee Bevis, and Amy Cripes and her husband, Frank, of Bascom, Fla.; one sister, Ruby Lee Olive Hunter of Louisiana, and one brother, Harold Pomeroy Olive of Louisiana.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
