Elene Mitchell-Logue, 83, of Climax, Ga. and Chattahoochee, Fla. passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Harrell officiating.  Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Elene Hager was born July 21, 1935, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the daughter of William and Ira Watson Hager. She graduated from high school and worked as a ward clerk at the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Fla. until her retirement. Elene was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Elene was a kind woman with a sweet spirit. She found great joy in caring for others, especially her husband, Dewey. Elene thought grandchildren were the best thing since sliced bread. The idea of food & fellowship was always on her mind. Elene could shop until you dropped. She was an avid reader with her favorite piece being the Bible.

Survivors include her children, Julie Logue Reichert and her husband, Wallace, of Whitesburg, Ga., Stephen E. Logue of Clayton, Ga., John Logue & Lynn Sharber of Bainbridge, Ga. and Charlie Logue of St. George Island, Fla.; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Cooper, Reyd and Griffin. In addition to her parents, Elene was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Dewey E. Logue; and her siblings, Leland Hager, Thelma Booth, Rassie Adams, Ressie Vaughn and Eva Lackey.
