Sidney Young, Jr., 83, of Bainbridge passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2005, he moved to Bainbridge and became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a trustee and member of the financial committee.

Sidney Young Jr. is survived by his wife, Margaret of Bainbridge; four sons, Sidney Eugene and John of Eustis, Fl., James of Gainesville, Fl., and Dennis of Philadelphia, Pa.; one daughter, Cathy Thurston (Lewis) of Tallahassee; two sisters, Reuben Bowie of Orlando, Fl., and Marlene Blye of Eustis, grandchildren and other sorrowing family members and friends.

Public viewing and visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Hayes Brother Funeral Home, Eustis, Florida. Funeral services for Mr. Young will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Eustis, Florida. Elder J. Blue will officiate. Internment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Eustis, Florida.
