Thelma “Maxine” Moore, age 74, of North Richland Hills went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2017.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Montague County Cowboy Church, 1600 FM 455, Montague, Texas, 76251, with the pastor, Rev. Joe Caballero, officiating. Interment: Center Point Cemetery, Saint Jo, Texas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maxine’s memory to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation through a Tribute Gift.

Maxine Moore was born in Saint Jo, on April 6, 1943, the daughter of Doyle Thomas and Gladys Vandell Ice. Maxine graduated from Saint Jo High School in 1961. After graduating from Dallas Business School in May, 1962, Maxine married Clyde James “Jim” Moore on November 29, 1962, in Japan where Jim was serving in the Air Force. Maxine and Jim lived in Turkey and Taiwan before moving back to the United States where they lived in Climax, Georgia and North Richland Hills. She worked for 22 years in Birdville ISD, her last position as an assistant secretary, in the technology department. Maxine loved her Lord Jesus Christ, husband, children, friendship and laughter. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Gladys Ice; siblings, Jimmy Ice and Gayle Morgan and great-grandson, Bentley Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Judy Moore of Paradise; son, Matthew Moore of North Richland Hills; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Sandra Ice of Bowie; sister, Betty Hillard of Iowa Park; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Tommy Martin of North Richland Hills; sister, Carole Nance; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Danny Trietsch; brother-in-law, Tommy Morgan of New Braunfels; sister-in-law, Barbara Ice of Nocona; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
