Juanita McCullers Williams, 85, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Edwin McCullers, Stanley Williams, James Ard, Danny Dollar, Dennis Dollar, Brad Dollar and Daryl Copeland serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com. Memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Mrs. Williams was born October 9, 1930 in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of Frank Madison McCullers and Katie Ethel Pickren McCullers. She was a graduate of Miller County High School and a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams enjoyed spending time with her family where her infectious laughter was a highlight. Her home cooking was something she never minded sharing with others, especially her chicken and dumplings and tarts. When not in the kitchen, she could be found outside gardening. She loved watching things grow and bloom. Mrs. Williams served as the family historian.

Survivors include her children, Dewayne Williams of Bainbridge, Gayland Williams and his wife, Pat, of Cordele, Gloria Harrell and her husband, Larry, of Bainbridge, Roxanne Gilstrap and her husband, Edwin, of Bainbridge, Phillip Williams of Bainbridge, and Melanie Krasala and her husband, Mike, also of Bainbridge; her siblings, Lillian Davis and Hayward McCullers; her eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Williams and her son, Gene Williams; and her siblings, Milford McCullers, Marcus McCullers, Marvin “Buddy” McCullers, Vivian “Sister” Richardson, Don McCullers, Horace McCullers and Herman McCullers.
