Mrs. Ruth Waltruad Eikstaedt Wildman, age 80, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at her daughter’s home. A memorial service will be held in Helen, Georgia, at a later date.
Ruth Waltruad Eikstaedt was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1934. She married William (Bill) Wildman; who preceded her in death. Ruth came to the United States in 1961 and became a citizen in 1967.
She was a member of Fresh Anointing, No Ticklin’ Ears, Ministry. Ruth was a talented sketcher and painter. She loved to crochet and played the harmonica. Mrs. Wildman loved animals, especially her dogs, Sparky and Princess.
Ruth Wildman is survived by her children, Sabina Gilmore and husband, David of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mike Meyers of Athens, Alabama, Martina Herrick of Surrey, B.C., Canada, Mary O. Parker and husband, Greg of Bainbridge, Georgia, Walter Black, Jr. of Tallahassee, Florida, Annette Reeves of Vada, Georgia, Jeanette Thomas of Athens, Alabama, and Richard Black and wife, Nichole of Gainesville, Georgia; 26 grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren; and a sister, Erika Eikstaedt of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter L. Black, James D. Douglas, and William (Bill) Wildman; 9 siblings: and 2 grandchildren.
