Mary H. Guyett, 90, of Sylvester, Ga., died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Mathews Funeral Home, in Albany, Ga., with the Rev. Bobby Moye officiating.

Mrs. Guyett was born in Keysville, Fla., and raised in Damascus, Ga. She had spent most of her adult life in the New York area, after which she spent the last 20 years at Lake Seminole. She was a graduate of Damascus High School, Class of 1939, and a member of First Methodist Church, of Moultrie, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl A. Guyett, SGT U.S. Army Air Forces WWII and a sister, Virginia Haddock Boyd.

Survivors include a sister, Sarah “Doris” Sunday of Woodstock, Ill., and a nephew, Lawrence Boyd and his wife Karen of Sylvester.

The family will receive friends following the service.
