Annie Louise (Lou) Rice Allen, 89, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Plantation Manor, in Thomasville, Ga.

The memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Faceville Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Interment will be at Cool Springs Cemetery.

Annie Louise (Lou) Rice Allen was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Ashburn, Ga., the daughter of Guy Luther and Bertha Wilson Rice. Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Valdosta High School and attended Auburn University. She was the co-owner and operator of Morris Allen Furniture with her husband, and she was a member of Faceville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Allen.

Survivors include her daughter, Lucy Bowen and her husband, Larry, of Thomasville; her son, Bill Allen and his wife, Beverly, of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Neil Allen Bowen of Tacoma, Wash., William Lawrence Allen of Tallahassee, Fla., and Brandi Lyne Allen of Albany, Ga.; and her great-grandchildren, Blaze Allen, Rose Bivins and Shelbe Bivins.
