Annette Poitevint Thomas, age 88, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, February 24, 2023.  Services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  Rev. Joe Poitevint, Jr. will officiate.   The interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.  Jerry Mills, Roger Mills, Wayne Poitevint, Johnny Poitevint, John Perkins, and Rusty Poitevint will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.   

Annette Poitevint was born December 11, 1934, in Mitchell County, Georgia to Arthur Wilder Poitevint and Nannie Mae Singleton Poitevint.   Annette married Calvin Zach Thomas, Jr., who has preceded her in death.  Annette loved her family.  She enjoyed being a homemaker.  She loved cooking for her family and every part of housekeeping.  Mrs. Thomas was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She loved to shop and loved to give gifts to those she loved.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Annette Thomas will be missed by her family and many, many friends.

Annette Thomas is survived by her children, Beverly T. Eipert (John) of Macon, Georgia, and Cheryl T. Ball (Johnny Wade) of Albany, Georgia; grandchildren, Kimberly Trowell (Anthony), Holly Blair (Marc), Justin Ball (Staci), Rebecca Daughtry (Wesley), and Matthew Eipert; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Harrell, Summer Harrell, Kip Blair, Izzy Blair, Alyssa Ball, and Tyson Ball.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Linda Inez Thomas, and siblings, George Poitevint, Clyde Poitevint, James Poitevint, Elmer Poitevint, Inez Poitevint, and Janelle Mills.
