Mr. Johnny Combast, age 67, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia.  A service to honor him will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate.  A private burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Johnny Combast was born August 11, 1955, in Bainbridge, Georgia.  His parents Jonnie Combast and Lelia Hutto Combast have preceded him in death.  Johnny was a lover of Westerns.  Gun Smoke was probably his favorite.  He loved to go fishing and loved to pick around on his guitar.  Johnny was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed listening to Jimmy Swaggart.  He dearly loved his family and friends and was never shy about telling them that he loved them.  He loved to rise early and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Grilling or smoking meats and sharing meals with his family and friends brought him joy.  Johnny loved life but was ready to go meet Jesus.  Johnny Combast will be dearly missed by all those he loved.

Mr. Johnny Combast is survived by his sibling, Joe Combast, Thelma Hand (Larry), and Bernice Trotman, all of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Paul Combast (Cindy) of Foley, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lewis and Linwood Combast.

The family of Mr. Combast would like to thank the staff of Agape Hospice and Pinewood Nursing Center for the care and love shown to him during his illness.
