Hansel Everette Carroll

Hansel Everette Carroll, age 99, of Iron City, Ga., passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at 2 p.m, at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Newberry and Rev. Kimmis Whitehead officiating.  Interment will follow in New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with James Carroll, Scott Patterson, Corey Carroll, Scott Wiggins, Brandon Hendrickson, and Richie Carroll serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Wiggins, Mike Carroll and Chris Shaw. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m.at the funeral home.

He is survived by his children, Roy Carroll and his wife Brenda of Sylvester, Ga., Annette Kirkland of Tallahassee, Fla., Barbara Wiggins of Marianna, Fla., and Doyle Carroll and his wife Desiree of Iron City; his grandchildren, Jeff Carroll, Connie Blackwell, Russell Carroll, Paul Armstrong, Mike Carroll, Dee Patterson, Richie Carroll, Lyn Hendrickson, Larry Kirkland, Ronnie Carroll, Belinda Strickland, Crystal Allen, James Carroll, Scott Wiggins, and Steven Wiggins. He is survived by 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli Alexander Carroll and Evie Eulalia Bennett Carroll; his wife Annie Clyde Cox Carroll; sons, Eugene Carroll and Marlin Carroll; his grandson Jason Carroll; his granddaughter Debra Kirkland; his siblings, Roland Carroll, Lola Carroll, Felton Carroll, Melvin Carroll, Wilma Hagins, Byron Carroll, John Carroll.
