Jack T. Dasher, 103, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Friday, November 24, 2017.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Interment will be at Greenshade Cemetery.

John Thomas Dasher was born July 28, 1914, in Fowlstown, Ga., the son of Robert Edward Lee Dasher and Minnie Ola Chason Dasher. He was a graduate of Faceville High School, Class of 1933. Jack served in the United States Marines from 1934-1937. He was a member of Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church. Jack married Katie Phillips in 2001.
Jack was known for his million-dollar smile. His friendly nature and that smile served him well. Over the years, his customers in the Macon area learned about Jack’s love of cars and racing; he never missed an opportunity to share a story or ask questions about a hot rod automobile. Jack had a “need for speed” spirit and enjoyed relaxing by listening to classical music.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Katie Phillips Dasher, and his step-daughters, Kathy Colwell and her husband, Glenn, of Colquitt, Ga., Sandra Ecklaund of Bainbridge, and Brenda Pearlman and her husband, Jay, of Tallahassee, Fla.. Jack was preceded in death by his siblings, Eva Rawlings, Ailene Dunn, Grace Charrington and Vernon Dasher.
