According to Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Robert Humphrey the investigation is being conducted and the department is asking for anyone with information to come forward.

According to Humphrey, the dog was typically a housedog. However the dog roamed past its normal range. Humphrey says it could have been because the dog was in heat.

Decatur County Sheriff’s Office has posted a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever may have killed Gardner’s dog.
