Lady Cat tennis team brings home win against Harris Co.

Bainbridge’s tennis teams traveled to Darton State College for a region match against Harris County. The Lady Cats swept while the boys lost 3-2 to Harris Co.
The Lady Cats impressive sweep of the Tigers was almost foiled in the number three singles match. After splitting sets 6-2, 6-7, Gracie Surratt went into a tiebreaker and won 11-9.
Number one singles Sydnee Burke won her match as well as number two singles Jade Stacey.
In doubles the Lady Cat pair of Bree Powell and Brianna Mills won their match, and the number two doubles pairing of Madison Wiggins and Megan Meszaros won their match by default.
The Bearcats did not have as successful of an outing as the girls did.
Number one doubles Hudson Barber and Cole Buchanan won their match 6-1, 6-1, and number two doubles pairing of Dalton Savage and Matthew Jacob won their match in a 10-6 tiebreaker after splitting sets 6-3, 5-7.
The singles matches were where the Bearcats fell short. Number one singles Mark Leoffler lost 5-7, 4-6. Number two singles Matthew Walker lost, and number three singles Barrett Jackson lost.
The Bearcats next match will be at home against Cairo on Tuesday, March 28.
