“The driver was headed south on Whigham Dairy Road when he left the road to the left. He entered the ditch and traveled up the embankment and struck several trees,” said Georgia State Patrol Office Darren Heard. “Then he finally overturned in a ditch.”

The driver did sustain some injuries to his legs and was transported to Archbold Hospital in Thomasville by ambulance. The driver also sustained minor cuts and scratches. The name of the male was withheld by Heard due to the lack of information about his injuries at this point.

“Until I find out exactly what his conditions are and exactly what’s going on with him at the hospital, I don’t want to release his name just in case something else happens,” said Heard.

The unnamed driver was the only person in the car so the cause of the driver leaving the road has yet to be determined.

“That part (leaving the road) is still under investigation,” Said Heard. “We’re still trying to investigate and figure out exactly why he left the road.”
