Mr. Danny Carter, 66, of Colquitt died Wednesday, October 1, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Bellview Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Horne officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Jason Musgrove, Joe Gunther, Random Johnson, Trent Clenney, Bryan Clenney and Edwin Atkinson III serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Carter was owner of A and R Enterprises, a member of Bellview Free Will Baptist Church, and a member of Sons of the Confederacy in Colquitt and Newton, and a member of The Baker County Fire Eaters.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Burke Carter of Colquitt; one daughter, Darla (Troy) Prescott of Colquitt, two grandchildren, Tabb (Elizabeth) Davis of Ashford, Ala., and Ashley (Will) Scott of Colquitt; two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Dixie Scott;  one brother, Jerry Carter of Colquitt; and two  sisters, Mable Richardson of Colquitt; and Sharolyn Tabb of Tallahasee, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
