Laughter, eyes wide with wonder and a general air of excitement filled the Charles H. Kirbo center Thursday afternoon at the Decatur County School System’s STEM Design Exhibition Day.
Students from every school showcased science, technology, engineering and math projects they had worked on over the course of the year.
Some students explained how they used science to modify soil to help plants grow better. Bainbridge High School students displayed the metal arch they made for the 2015 prom. John Johnson Elementary students had samples of the produce they had grown in their school garden.
Projects featured roller coasters, weight loss, water preservation, agriculture, clean energy, and much, much more. If you can imagine it, it was at the STEM Exhibition.
