The Bainbridge-Decatur County United Way has begun taking applications for agencies that seek funding from the 2014 fund raising campaign in 2015.
Agencies who are seeking funding must return their applications by May 31, to P.O. Box 1805, Bainbridge, GA 39818. The applications can be found online at the United Way of Bainbridge-Decatur County website, as well as the link below.

Applications can also be hand-delivered to Karon Elwell at 1900 Liz Felty Lane, Bainbridge, GA. No budget requests will be accepted if they are postmarked past this date. This will give those agencies time to obtain the needed information while leaving adequate time for Admissions and Allocations Committee to complete their tasks prior to the fundraising campaign.
United Way chairman Kim Walden said United Way considers the admissions and allocation committee review process to be very important and Walden said any agency with questions about the application can contact Karon Elwell at (229) 246- 9288.
Once the admissions and allocations committee has received all applications on May 31, the small team of trained volunteers will evaluate each application and agency to see how it meets needs in the community as well as what resources that takes.
Those who are considered for further review will be contacted for an interview in June and will be notified by mail of the date and time if needed.
