Virginia Anderson Butler

Virginia Anderson Butler, 87, of Pelham passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at her residence.
The funeral service was held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel in Pelham, with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Donnie Wilkes, Rev. Robert Watson and Father Theophan.
Interment was at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Teddy Williams, Jeff Brooks, Randy Anderson, Gary Anderson, Casey Faircloth, and Jeremy Faircloth acting as pallbearers.
Mrs. Butler was born Nov. 6, 1926 in Mitchell County, Ga. to the late James Edward and Dollie Butler Anderson.
She was retired from Coats and Clark where she was a spinner and tester. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Pelham where she was a member of the Women’s Ministries. She was also was a member of Woodmen of the World.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy Whitfield and Jack Butler; a grandson, Jeff Faircloth; great-grandson, Dylan Faircloth; brother Raymond Anderson; and sisters, Rena Kierce, Clara Gray, and Louise Brinson.
Survivors include Randal Whitfield and wife Karen of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter Rebecca Lynell Faircloth and husband Kenneth of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Lee Whitfield, Jennifer Lambardia, Katy Unkelbach, Craig Faircloth, Mark Faircloth; 14 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; brother Amos Anderson and wife Nell of Pelham; sisters, Ollie Calbiano of Philadelphia, Pa., Linda Calace of Boca Raton, Fla., Shirley Otto of Hubbard, Iowa, and Marie McAllister of Monticello, Fla.; step-children, Freddie Butlelr, Patti Lynn Butler, Raiburn Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
