Services for Willie B. Shepard were held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Campbell Street Church of God in Christ, with Elder John Davis officiating. Interment was in Pineview Cemetery.

Mrs. Willie B. Shepard was born Oct. 20, 1927, in Bainbridge, the daughter of the late Cassie Williams and the late Jim Green.

At an early age she joined First Born Church of Christ. She later moved her membership to Campbell Street Church of God in Christ, where she remained until her passing.

Willie B. was married to the Rev. James Shepard, who preceded her in death. She was a housewife and also co-owner of the Pear Orchard grocery store in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Shepard departed her earthly life on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Green; a sister, Essie Mae Robinson; and a brother, Frank Williams.

Survivors include five children, Leo Green Sr. (Emma), Eileen Sheffield, Rodney Greene (Cynthia), David Green and Tommy Green (Jackie); 10 stepchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Guyton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
