Pearl Davis Bell, 91, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 24, at 11 a.m. at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church in Climax with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Kenneth McCorkel, Jr., James H. Bell, John H. Bell, Jr., Paul Atkins, Terry Hutto, Johnny Hutto, Jason H. Bell, and Billy Hutto serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Fla. Memorial donations may be made to Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Mr. Randall Jones, 4214 Thomasville Rd., Climax, Ga., 39834.
Pearl was born October 23, 1920 in Cooper, Ala., the daughter of Jesse Alonzo Davis and Betty Elizabeth Dennis Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, John “Jack” Bell of Havana, Fla.; her daughters, Marie McCorkel and her husband, Kenneth, of Dayton, Texas, Mary Hutto of Donalsonville, Ga., Pattsy Burgess of Tallahassee, Fla., and Sharon Bell of Tallahassee, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Bell.
