Coach Erwin Harrell’s Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars volleyball team will open their season Thursday, Aug. 23, when they host the Stratford Academy Eagles, from Macon, Ga., at 5:30 p.m., at Perry Memorial Gymnasium.

While the team is young, Harrell has a pair of juniors he feels will be team leaders.

“Junior outside hitter Melissa Mills and junior defender Kendi Castoro are doing some good things in practice,” he said. “They are setting a good example for the younger players.
“Two freshmen, Emilee Murr, and my daughter, Kelsey Harrell, are doing a good job as outside hitters in practice.”
