Moseley brothers win Member-Guest title

The brother team of Jay Moseley and Reese Moseley, won the annual Bainbridge Country Club Member-Guest Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Jay, former member of the Auburn University Tigers golf team and current head golf coach at Kennesaw State University, and Reese, former member of the Georgia Southwestern State University golf team, shot a four-under-par 68 Saturday and 13-under-par 59 Sunday to finish at 17-under-par 127.

Both were former Bainbridge High School Bearcats low medalists.

The “A flight” championship was won by the team of Jim Higdon and Carlyle Kirbo, who shot four-under-par 68 on Saturday and eight-under-par 64 on Sunday, to finish 12-under-par 132.

Second and third places in the A flight went to Rob McRae and Mark Harrell, and Mike Greene and Stan McMikle.

McRae and Harrell shot par-72 Saturday and eight-under-par 64 Sunday to finish at eight-under-par 136.

Greene and McMikle shot two-over-par 74 Saturday and six-under-par 66 Sunday to finish four-under-par 140.

The B flight championship was won by Richard Ivey and Brandon Lovering. They shot four-under-par 68 Saturday and three-under-par 69 Sunday to finish seven-under-par 137.

Second and third places in the B flight went to Joe Putnal and Jamie Alday, and Thad Pettyjohn and Robert Trulock.

Putnal and Alday shot three-under-par 69 Saturday, and one-under-par 71 Sunday, to finish at four-under-par 140.

Pettyjohn and Trulock shot three-over-par 75 Saturday and six-under-par 66 Sunday to finish at three-under-par 141.

The C flight championship was won by Helhe Cole and Rusty Spivey. They shot three-over-par 75 Saturday, and even-par 72 on Sunday to finish at three-over-par 147. Warren O’Quinn and Jack D. Nicholson were second, and Bruce Kirbo and Parks Kirbo were third.

O’Quinn and Nicholson shot three-over-par 75 Saturday and four-over-par 76 on Sunday to finish at seven-over-par 151. Kirbo and Kirbo shot seven-over-par 79 Saturday and five-over-par 77 Sunday, to finish at 12-over-par 156.
