The Bainbridge Middle School seventh-grade junior varsity and eighth-grade varsity cheerleading squads, coached by Lea Hawkins and Gina Conley, had their annual four-day canp last Monday through Thursday at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum.
Staci Sutton, the head football cheerleading coach at Florida State University, and Bainbridge High School cheerleaders who were formerly on the middle school squads, were brought in to assist with the instruction.
Camp sessions began each day at 7:20 a.m. Cheerleaders ran and conditioned, along wth completing their routines.
They will cheer for seventh- and eighth-grade football and basketball games, and also compete against other schools in the area.
The cheerleaders will be selling BMS T-shirts during open house in August.
