‘WOW’ Team wins Cornhole Tourney

The WOW team, made up of Jerry Manley and David Whitaker, wowed the rest of the players in the first Bainbridge Cornhole Tournament held Saturday morning, March 24, on the track at the Bainbridge Middle School. Runners-up were Danny Culverson and Tony Joiner, from the D&D Team.

The double-elimination contest was a first-time event for Bainbridge, and was sponsored as a fundraiser for the Bainbridge High School Bearcats wrestling teams. Coach Chad Smith said they realized a $400 profit from the event.

Another, unrelated tournament, with a $25 entry fee, is planned for April 28 at D&D Lawnmower, 1651 Tallahassee Highway, with a $100 first-place guarantee. Contact (229) 246-7031 or (229) 220-6313 for more information.
