The graveside funeral service for William A. “Bill” Hardwick, 81, of Bainbridge, was held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Cool Springs Cemetery with Rev. Fred Bacher officiating.
Mr. Hardwick was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Tallahassee, Fla., the son of Percy Benton Hardwick and Lillian Wells Hardwick. He passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at his residence. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1949, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hardwick worked as a jet mechanic for Delta Air Lines for many years and was a faithful member of Barrett’s Coffee Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Cates Hardwick of Bainbridge; his daughters, Linda Stella and her husband, John, of Ocala, Fla., Patricia Martin and her husband, Terry, of Lago Vista, Texas, Paula Eastwood and her husband, Carl, of Cumming, Ga., Betsy Wohlwend and her husband, John, of Dothan, Ala., Billie Ward and her husband, Jerre of Salem, Ala., Karen Wood and her husband, Bill, of Yatesville, Ga, and Robin DeArmond and her husband, Keith, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; his sister, Betty H. Donalson of Bainbridge; his 16 grandchildren; and his 11 great-grandchildren.
