The funeral service for L.B. Gray, 82, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Ray Brown, and the Revs. Jimmy Dean and Ed Harrell officiating.

Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery with honorary pallbearers the men of Salem Baptist Church, Bobby Jack Harrell, J.B. Kelley and Ray Gray.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Missions Fund at Salem Baptist Church, 840 Old Pelham Road, Climax, GA 39834 or to the Spring Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 2635 Hwy. 253, Donalsonville, GA 39845.

Mr. Gray was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Grady County, Ga. He died July 21, 2011 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Gray was the retired owner and operator of Wholesale Battery and Supply Company and L.B. Gray Trucking Company. He was deacon of Salem Baptist Church.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Augustus Gray and Mattie Clyde H. Gray; his brother, M.C. Gray, and his sister, Christine Harrell.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita Adams Gray of Donalsonville; his sons, Billy Gray and his wife, Delores, of Bainbridge, Ricky Gray and his wife, Jan, of Dothan, Ala., Tony Gray and his wife, Cathy, of Davenport, Fla., and Robby Gray of Savannah, Ga.; his daughter, Cindy Griffin and her husband, Dexter, of Leesburg; his sister, Hilda Midler Stevens of Montgomery, Ala.; his grandchildren, LeAnn Buchanan, Lee Gray, Heather Griffin, Laura Finney, Nichole Griffin, Jodi Jones, Jesica Cramer, Victoria Gray and Olivia Gray, and his nine great-grandchildren.
