The Syrup City Young Marines held a graduation ceremony on June 11 at the Decatur County Senior Center for Pvt. 1st Class Jeremy Freeman, Pvt. Malcolm Cohen and Pvt. Amora McSwain. The organization, which began last year, is a youth education and service program for boys and girls ages 8 through 18, serving Grady, Decatur and Thomas counties.
