Young girls learn from Lady Cats

Bainbridge High School Head Softball Coach Eugene Singletary and his staff hosted their annual youth softball camp last Tuesday through Friday at their softball complex.

Joining Coach Singletary as camp instructors were assistant coaches Dennis Cato and April Powell.

After fielding some ground balls and catching some fly balls on the field, the coaches took the campers to the indoor batting cage to give them some hitting instruction.

“When we were in the batting cages, we concentrated on the fundamentals of hitting,” Coach Singletary said.

“We worked on the proper stance and the proper follow through at the plate. We also did some hitting off the tee.”
