Funeral services for Robert Lee “Bob” Hall, 64, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville with the Revs. Kirk Loyless and David Tart officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Ga., on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Claire Davis officiating. Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Hall, David Hall, Al Hall, Jim Hall, Tony Hall and Richard Hall.

Born in Cairo, Ga., on July 5, 1946, Mr. Hall died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at his residence in Donalsonville.

Mr. Hall was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and had served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked in logging, construction work, and with heavy equipment. The work that he was most compassionate about was farming. He loved his dogs, especially the late Mopsy, who like Bob, was everybody’s friend. Mr. Hall loved being able to take care of others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Edna Sutton Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Dutton Hall of Donalsonville; one son, Michael Shannon Hall of Athens, Ga.; a daughter, Amanda Marie Hall of Valdosta, Ga.; two step-sons, Robert Marion Cohen III of Bainbridge and Roland Eric Cohen of Whigham, Ga.; four brothers, Ronnie A. Hall of Colquitt, Ga., Joe Hall of Donalsonville, Ed Hall of Milledgeville, Ga., and Jack Hall of Cairo, Ga.; a sister, Mary Skinner of Cairo; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of arrangements.
