Reid Dennis, a resident of Donalsonville, was busily working out his horses Friday afternoon—getting them familiar with the terrain— preparatory to his competing in the team roping event at the Port City Rodeo. The weekend event opened Friday night and continues tonight at Daniel Barnard’s Super B Ranch, located at 2785 Colquitt Highway, just north of Eldorendo. Gates open at 5 p.m. The Leigh Mullis Band goes on stage at 6 p.m. and rodeo events begin at 7 p.m. in the big arena.
