Funeral services for Hilda Geneva Dodson Poston, 77, of Bainbridge, were held Sunday, Oct. 18, in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Buchanan officiating.

Interment followed at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church.

Born Feb. 12, 1932, in Decatur County, Mrs. Poston died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Bainbridge Health Care.

Mrs. Poston worked for the Florida Department of Education. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Poston of Pamplico, S.C.; her son, David Poston of Dothan, Ala.; her sister, Fannie C. Brock of Lake Wales, Fla.; and a grandson.

Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home in Thomasville, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
