A gathering of friends in memory of Jessie Mae Jakes, 51, of Powder Springs, Ga., formerly of Bainbridge, will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at Roy Davis Funeral Home, located at 5935 Mulberry St. in Austell, Ga.

Mrs. Jakes’ wishes were to be cremated. She was a teacher and enjoyed the Falcons, basketball and dancing.

Survivors include husband, Kenneth Leonard; daughter, Latauisha of Powder Springs; two sons, Adrian Jakes of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Rasheed Jakes of Mobile, Ala.; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

West Georgia Crematory in Austell is in charge of arrangements.
