Funeral services for Hilda Ouzts, 83, of Grady County, will be held Friday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Kenneth Cloud, the Revs. Tim Vanlandingham and Jim Weaver officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 7, at Heritage Funeral Home in Cairo.

Born June 23, 1925, in Grady County, Ga., Mrs. Ouzts died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Camellia Gardens of Life Center in Thomasville.

Mrs. Ouzts was a member of Midway Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. She worked in retail, retiring from Ouzts Grocery.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, A. J. Ouzts, Leroy Ouzts and J.W. Ouzts Jr.

Survivors include two sisters, Wylene Harrison of Bainbridge and Catherine Drew of Cairo; two brothers, Rufus Ouzts of Cairo and Gene Ouzts of Climax; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Heritage Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of funeral arrangements.
