James Edward “Jimmy” McCook

James Edward McCook, 71, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Knight officiating.

Mr. McCook was born October 26, 1944 in Bainbridge, the son of Edward George McCook and Lillian Ione James McCook. He served in the United States Army and National Guard and was a retired electrician. Mr. McCook loved watching western movies, Nascar and spending time with C.J. and Nickolas. He was a member of the Deep South Riders and was heavily involved in Bainbridge Bike Fest.

Survivors include his son, Michael McCook; his granddaughter, Jenni McCook; his nieces and nephews, Shannon McCook, Nikie Marshburn, Chason McCook, Jaymie Donalson, and Mylinda Childree; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca McCook and Joyce McCook; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Childree; and his uncle, Lazelle McCook. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, George McCook, Wayne McCook and Theresa Childree.
