Ruth Hardie Grisham

Ruth Hardie Grisham, 86, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Ronnie Starley and Curt Hardie officiating.

Mrs. Grisham was born April 12, 1928 in Hardwick, GA, the daughter of James Preston Hardie,Sr. and Bertha Cook Hardie. She was a graduate of Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon, GA and worked for several years at Georgia Industries for the Blind. Ruth married John Thomas Grisham in August of 1963. She spent the remainder of her life in Decatur County enjoying her work at GIB and traveling with her beloved husband. Ruth never let her disability prevent her from enjoying every moment of her life.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, John Thomas Grisham, and her brothers, James Preston Hardie, Jr. and Joel Jacob Hardie.
