Colonel Jay Musgrove (Ret.)

 

Mr. Jay Musgrove, age 61, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia.  A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. David Cook will officiate.

Jay Musgrove was born April 4, 1954 in Bainbridge.  His parents were Hoover Parks (Bo) Musgrove and Hillary Boardman Musgrove. Both parents have preceded him in death.

Jay served honorably in the United States Air Force. He retired after 25 years of service, as a Colonel. Musgrove worked as an aeronautical engineer. He loved building airplanes and cars. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Attapulgus, and The Shrine Club of San Antonio, Texas.

Jay Musgrove is survived by his children, Samantha Musgrove Brown and husband, Jeremiah of Bainbridge, Victoria Demaio and Billy Coffman of Seattle, Washington, Lillian Ansley of Whigham, Georgia, and April Ansley of Cairo, Georgia; grandchildren, Cheyanne Coffman and Taylor Khai Pope; brothers and sisters, Chet Musgrove and wife, Melonie of Birmingham, Alabama, Christine Nichols of Albany, Georgia, Jackie Pope and husband, Mark of Bainbridge, Phillip Thompson and wife, Sharon of McDonough, Georgia, Deborah Burke of Bainbridge, Regina Gadi and husband, Sumet of Murrieta, California, and Joann Stewart and husband, Ralph, Jr. of Rathdrum, Idaho; and his special friend and first wife, Judy Wang Musgrove of Bainbridge.
