Greg Batchelor, 42, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Orlando.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Worsley officiating.

Mr. Batchelor was born December 21, 1972 in Bainbridge, the son of Gregory Allen Batchelor, Sr. and Nancy Catherine Glover Batchelor. While still in high school Greg worked with Bee Trailers, Vada, Georgia. He is a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1993 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. He worked for a time as a deputy sheriff and a corrections officer. Greg also worked as a Phlebotomist and thought this was his most rewarding career because he was helping people.

Mr. Batchelor enjoyed gun collecting, video games and 3D puzzles. He loved to read and watch car racing. Mr. Batchelor was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Survivors include his children, Alexandria Jordan Batchelor and Harlee Rae Batchelor; his parents, Gregory Allen Batchelor, Sr. and Nancy Catherine Glover Batchelor; his sister, Cathy B. Chestnut; his special cousins, Ronnie Eidson and Tonya Doss; his niece and nephew, Autumn Chestnut and Avery Chestnut; and a host of extended family.
