Mrs. Nettie May Bryan, 80, of Carrollton, Ga., passed away Friday, April 19, 2013.

The funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton, with Father Rafael Carballo officiating. Active pallbearers were Chris Barber, Cory Norman, Justin Myler, Daniel Bryan, Paul Bryan and Donald Bryan.

The Rosary service was held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton, with visitation following.

The graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Bryan was born in Nashville, Ga. on Dec. 30, 1932, the daughter of Macon J. Taylor and Wynell Wiles Taylor. She was a retired nursing professor and member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bryan; and her brothers, M. R. Taylor, Willis Taylor and Wallace Taylor.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Winnette Hitson of Carrollton, and Donald R. and Wanda Bryan, III of Sylvester, Ga.; her daughters and son-in-law, Bonnie Barber and Patricia Katsekis, both of LaGrange, Ga., Janet and Dave Beshear and Paula Norman, all of Albany, Ga.; her sisters, Juanita Platt and Delia Gibson, both of Brandon, Fla., Margie Stanphill of Carrollton, and Rose M. Porter of Louisville, Ky., her brothers, Willard Taylor of Birmingham, Ala. and Charles R. Taylor of Placida, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
