BPS officers graduate from police academy

Bainbridge Mayor Edward Reynolds recently swore in five new Bainbridge Public Safety officers who recently graduated from police academy. They had already attended and passed fire academy.

Thomas C. Avery, Alton B. Miller, Timothy J. Mixon, Trey H. Mock and Christopher M. Prindle of Bainbridge Public Safety were among 23 individuals who recently received certificates at graduation exercises for the 257th session of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) Regional Police Academy at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Prindle received first place in academics and served as president of the 257th session. Mock earned second place in firearms.

The GPSTC regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the School of Human Sciences at ABAC.
