The Continuing Education Center of Bainbridge College is offering an EMT/paramedic refresher course consisting of 48 hours of training covering such topics as airway, breathing, cardiology, medical emergencies, trauma, operational tasks, and obstetrics and pediatrics.

Classes will begin Thursday, Jan. 12, and meet each Thursday until completion on Feb. 16. Classes are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 207 at the Continuing Education Building, located at Bainbridge Mall behind the Golden Corral restaurant.

The course has been approved by the Georgia State Office of EMS/Trauma and will satisfy mandatory National Registry training for EMTs and paramedics as well as provide continuing education hours for state licensees. It was developed following a year’s worth of planning by Randy Williams, programs coordinator of the Paramedic Technology/EMS program at the college, and EMS representatives from Decatur, Miller and Seminole counties.

For more information about the program, please contact Lisa Reeves at (229) 248-2516. The cost for the program is $100.
