Flood warning – Friday., Dec. 18 update

From the National Weather Service’s Tallahassee, Fla., office:

The flood warning continues for the Flint River at Bainbridge. At 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, the Flint River at Bainbridge was 26.06 feet. Moderate flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 25 feet.

The river is forecast to continue rising to near 27.7 feet on Saturday night then begin falling. The river is forecast to remain above 27 feet through next Tuesday.

All persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest forecasts and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect life and property. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. If you see flood waters, remember to “turn around and do not drown.”
