Lawrence promoted to lieutenant colonel

Kenneth Lawrence of Bainbridge, Ga., was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army. Lawrence was promoted on Aug. 20 at Fort Belvoir, Va. He is the son of Earline Lawrence of Bainbridge, and the grandson of the late  Marie Byrd Scott. Lt. Col. Lawrence is a 1988 graduate of Bainbridge High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degrees from Florida A&M University and was commissioned in the regular Army as a second lieutenant. He also holds Master of Science degrees from both Central Michigan University and George Mason University. Lt. Col.
