Reynolds team wins Lake Seminole Open

The Bainbridge team of Brad Reynolds and Lance Reynolds caught 44 pounds, 8 ounces, of bass Saturday and Sunday to win the $10,000 first prize in the inaugural Lake Seminole Open Team Bass Tournament.
They reported catching their fish in the Spring Creek area of the lake, using old monster lures the first day, and flipping over matted grass the second day.
The tournament, hosted by the Bainbridge Convention & Visitors Bureau and sponsored by Rifle & Rod magazine, Deep South Rods, Southern Trading Company and Pawn, West Side Bait and Tackle and Home Depot, featured 139 boats competing for $21,850 in prize money.
Anglers were also competing for $500 big fish prizes both days. Ed Wilkerson and Jason Smith, who were second overall with 40 pounds, 15 ounces, and earned a check for $3,000, caught the first day’s big fish which weighed 8.6 pounds. Their $500 big fish check was sponsored by Westside Bait and Tackle.
The second day’s big fish was caught by the Bainbridge team of Frank Jordan and Frank Jordan Jr. It weighed 7.8 pounds and their $500 check was sponsored by Southern Trading Company.
Capturing third place and a check for $2,000, with a catch of 33 pounds, 17 ounces, was the Leesburg, Ga., father and son team of Robert and Rick Tindell.
The $1,000 fourth prize went to J. Todd Tucker and Butch Tucker, with a catch of 30 pounds, 14 ounces, and the $750 fifth prize went to the Bainbridge team of David Kirkland and Stephen Alderman, with a catch of 28 pounds, 14 ounces.
Taking home the $550 sixth prize, with a catch of 28 pounds, was the team of Paul Tyre and Nic Jeter.
The team of David Howell and Jody Singletary was seventh, with a catch of 26 pounds, 2 ounces. They earned a check for $350.
Also earning a $350 check was the eighth-place team of Scott Lewis and Kevin Conoly. Their two-day catch totaled 25 pounds, 6 ounces.
The Bainbridge team of Tony Davis and Flint King took ninth, with a catch of 25 pounds, 1 ounce, and earned them a check for $300.
Tenth place and a check for $290 went to the team of Billy Bowden Jr. and David Hunter, with 24 pounds, 10 ounces.
Kyle Henderson and Matt Baty of Bainbridge were 11th with 23 pounds, 9 pounds. They earned a check for $280.
Finishing 12th and earning a check for $265, with a catch of 23 pounds, 5 ounces, was the team of David Blanton and Andy MacAriages.Also tying for 12 place, with a catch of 23 pounds, 5 ounces, was the team of Marty Spears and Chris Neely. They also earned a check for $265.
Fourteenth place and a check for $250 went to the team of Reggie Calhoun and Bobby Yakin, with 22 pounds, 11 ounces.
Heath Annin and Howard Cartright finished 15th with a 22-pound, 10-ounce, catch that earned them a check for $240.
