Public invited to mock trial dress rehearsal

The public is invited to attend the Bainbridge High School Mock Trial competition dress rehearsal.

The BHS Mock Trial Team will have a dress rehearsal Thursday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Decatur County Courthouse’s main courtroom. All teachers, administrators and students, as well as the public, are welcome to stop by and witness the students in action.

The team is scheduled to travel to Albany, Ga., to participate in region competitions on Saturday, Feb. 7. This year’s case is a Civil Case (Sadler v. Hamilton) in which the plaintiff sues the defendant for money damages due to allegations of simple battery.

BHS Mock Trial Team members are as follows:

For the plaintiff, Haley Hubbard, Jessica Bostick and Megan Wimberley are attorneys; Amber Johnson, Kevin Dew and Ebony Jackson are witnesses; Meighan Phillips is a timekeeper, and Kiambria Hampton and Austin Spooner are alternates.

For the defendant: Claire Whitehead, Chelsea Kornse and Mary Grace Griffin are attorneys; Nicole Gadson, Libby Unfricht and Delnetra Miller are witnesses, and Caroline Maxwell is a timekeeper.
