This scribler has alwast had great respect for the Queen of England and her family, but last week when she Honarary Knighted Ted Kennedy, she tore herself with me. Kennedy, commonly known as the “Chapiquidic Kid” should be in jail and never to have been senator.

The Fisher’s of Men Tournement took place last Saterday at Wingate’s. No. 1 spot went to Brock and Stevens of Marianna, Fla., with 25.78 pounds, No. 2 spot went to Sparks and Olsen with 17.24 pounds, No. 3 spot went to Cleghorn and Clint with 16.79 pounds. Those were the top three. The Big Fish went to B.F. Brooks of Milner, Ga., with a 7.3 pounds bass.

The Bainbridge Bass Club fished out on Saterday too. First place went to Cedric Suber with 15.47 pounds, Joey Farris took second place with 8.47 pounds and Mike Webster was third with 3.27 pounds. Big Fish was Cedric Suber with 3.66 pounds.

Nic Jeter fishen West Point Lake won the tournament with 11.11 pounds, he also had the Big Fish with a 6.13-pound bass. He was lucky to get that big of a bass out on West Point, the stripers have been stocked in that lake and they strive in the sewer water of Atlanta.

The Federation Top 6 results on the first day was Rose City Bassmasters with 51.16 pounds, 26 Bass Masters with 45.41 pounds, Berrien County with 45.00 pounds, Sowega with 43.79 pounds and Lounds County with 36.13 pounds.

The second day of the Federation Top 6 results went like this, 26 Bass Masters with 56.11 pounds, Dixie Bassmasters with 51.69 pounds, Rose City Bassmasters with 34.25 pounds, Lowndes County Bassmasters with 36.38 pounds and Benning Bass Club with 40.18 pounds. John Sauce had Big Fish with 9.4 pounds.

Media Bas, first place, Terry Stevens and Clint Brown with 24.11 pounds and Big Fish at 6.13 pounds; second place, Alan Lamb and Lee Boutwell with 18.15 pounds and third place, Shane Bush and Craig Reynolds with 18.07 pounds. There were 31 boats, $1,850 went to the winners.
