With Decatur County schools resuming class in just a few short weeks, organizations around town are asking for school supplies donations to help students in need.

Bainbridge Public Safety’s Kids ‘n Kops program is accepting supplies through Tuesday, Aug. 6. The drop-off location is at BPS headquarters, 510 E. Louise St., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Life Church of Bainbridge is also holding a school supplies drive and is currently looking for sponsors to help raise funds. Raffle tickets are being sold for $5 each, with all the money going toward filling 200 backpacks with school supplies. The raffle winner gets a $250 gas station gift card. The backpacks will be given to kids at a Back to School Bash on Sunday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. For more information, contact Senior Pastor Mark Wilkerson at (850) 459-1769.
