A routine traffic stop turned into arrests for possession of extremely dangerous drugs Wednesday in Bainbridge.

Just after 9 p.m., Bainbridge Public Safety Officer Timothy Shaw performed a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling south on Tallahassee Highway in front of Home Depot.

As Shaw approached the driver, later identified as Lee David Burroughs, he explained that he had been stopped for erratic driving. Burroughs began acting anxious, making Shaw suspicious, so he asked for consent to search the vehicle.  Burroughs stated that the vehicle didn’t belong to him but to his passenger, later identified as Lisa Marie Chinell.
