Killer Investments recently purchased the property at 212 North Broad Street and are working tirelessly to restore the historic building in hopes of passing it along to a potential business.

Killer Investments, comprised of Natalie and Wheat Kirbo and Banks Miller, saw the building for sale and wanted to invest in it. Natalie said all three of them love the downtown area and wanted to renovate and restore the building.

All three of them already own businesses, so they were not looking to place something in the building themselves, but they believe by renovating and restoring it they are taking out the risk for someone else.

They have truly started from the top down.

Downtown Development Authority Director, Amanda Glover said the investors have put a new roof on the building and completely gutted and rehabbed the building.

Natalie said they still have a long way to go, but they have recently started working on painting and priming.

One of the key things they want to do in the project is save the door and get a feel for the history of the building. They are looking for pictures of the old building. They currently only have one, but are asking anyone who might have pictures to send it their way.

This project by Killer Investments is only one of many that have taken place in the downtown area this year. Glover said since January 18 properties have sold in the downtown area to mainly private investors.

Glover believes one of the reasons for this is because downtown Bainbridge has been designated as a rural tax zone.

Investors can claim an investment tax credit. It is a credit for people who purchase property downtown within the Rural Revitalization Zone. The credit can only be used, though if the investment property creates two full-time equivalent jobs.

For this reason, Killer Investments is open to including whatever a business needs in their plans for the building.

If someone reaches out to them and says they need a kitchen in the building, Natalie said they would include that in there, knowing it will pay off in the future.
